Spencer Proffer has quarterbacked the music for an independent, Catholic Church backed inspirational, poignant animated film with a leading Mexico City-based production partner - Dos Corazones.
Spencer also produced and arranged the two key tracks that play a pivotal role in the film. Rick Springfield’s classic hit JESSE’S GIRL also has a meaningful spot in the film with Spencer getting Rick to re-imagine the song for a pivotal scene in a church which launched the story.
You Will Find It, performed by ex- Disney star of their Girl Meets World hit series, now emerging hit young actress and singer ,Sabrina Carpenter (http://www.sabrinacarpenter.com/ Sabrina Carpenter Wikipedia), Sabrina broke out as a highly acclaimed Disney personality in the spirit of Miley Cyrus. Post-Disney, Carpenter has become a top social media influencer/idol like many other stars her age. Fans can almost think of her as the next Dove Cameron. She's also been on Broadway a la Dove, with 2020's 'Mean Girls’ as well as opened for Ariana Grande's Dangerous Woman Tour. Sabrina also produced and stared in Netflix musical of 'Alice in Wonderland’. January 2021, Carpenter released the single "Skin", which debuted at No. 48 and became Carpenter's first Billboard Hot 100 entry. The song acts as Carpenter's first release with Island Records, following her departure from Hollywood Records.
In March 2024, Carpenter was featured on Norwegian singer-songwriter Girl in Red's single "You Need Me Now?".[125]On April 11, 2024, Carpenter released the single "Espresso".[126] The following day, she performed at the 23rd Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as part of the announced line-up.[127] "Espresso" topped the Billboard Global 200 and peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.[128] The single will feature on her upcoming sixth studio album, Short n' Sweet, which is set for release on August 23, 2024.[129] Released on June 6, 2024, the second single from the album, "Please Please Please", became her second global chart-topper and her first US number-one single.[130][131][132] With these songs, she became the first female artist to hold the number one and two positions on the UK singles chart for three weeks in a row.[133]
For a bit of background now that Sabrina has broken out as a star, in November 2022, Carpenter announced that her song "Nonsense" would be the albums fifth single with it's music video being released on November 10 2022. A Holiday themed version of the song would go on to be released in December 2022 titled "A Nonsense Christmas". Carpenter would further promote the song with a performance on the late night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!In January 2023, "Nonsense" would debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 75 and spend a total of seven weeks on the chart making it her longest entry on the chart.
The film's theme and title song - Here In My Heart . Spencer produced, arranged and mixed the song with one of the most respected voices in pop music - Ann Wilson - lead singer of multi platinum band, Heart, who played on the track (https://www.heart-music.com/). The recording is engineered by Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Woodstock, more. Pomeranz performs the duet vocal with Wilson.
The story unfolds through a modern day encounter of an older man, Gunter, with a young rebel, DJ in Santa Barbara. It utilizes the story of of a priest, Father Maximilian Kolbe, to teach DJ to allow others to help him back on track via flashbacks, utilizing the example of St Max and his good deeds in Poland throughout the 20th century. It culminates with St. Max giving his life in Auschwitz for a Jewish prisoner as a supreme sacrifice.
